Information & Description:
The 'Rob
Andrews Youth
Baseball Camps' are interviewing prospective
staff for work as counselors in their summer day camp programs.
Male and Female applicants may fill out work applications here
on-line (see below). The Camps
are an equal opportunity employer. Previous
recreational or camp experience is helpful.
Due to the distances separating the camp locations staff will need
transportation to and from work.
The counselor will develop the
closest relationships with the campers and the staff.
Providing leadership and encouragement
throughout the week during learning stations and competitions is one of the keys
to a counselor’s job. If hired as
a camp counselor, you will assist the
professional baseball staff (college and high school coaches, as well as, former
pros), in the operation of 'learning stations' and other games and activities.
The counselor will be assigned to a team for which they will be
responsible for helping supervise and motivate in the different camp activities.
They will also help set-up and takedown the equipment each day.
Counselor knowledge of baseball
is helpful, and the Camp will require all staff attend a 1 day training
session before the commencement of the summer programs that will stress both
baseball, and leadership/motivational skills.
This position often leads to future Head
Coach & Director positions.
